3.3.5 Termination of Guardianship

The termination, extension, suspension or restriction of parental responsibilities and rights are discussed in section 28 (1) of the Children’s Act. An application may be presented to the Court for the termination or suspension of a person appointed as a guardian in terms of section 27 from performing any or all the parental responsibilities and rights which they acquired when appointed as a guardian for the child in terms of section 18 (3). The application may be brought:(a)By a co-holder of parental responsibilities and rights in respect of the child;
